T H E  N E T ' s  2 0 2 0  V I S I O N

The National Education Taskforce, a nonpartisan, nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization, calls for its members to work together to produce current research on education issues for the U. S. Congress. Our reports are cohesive, interrelated, and organized under the title Great Schools, Great Nation. This title reminds the reader of the causal relationship between the quality of our schools and the quality of the nation they serve. 

     We seek a national system of public education that is based on research, not rumor; on the needs of children, not special interests. Our goal is to enact our vision by the year 2020; hence the name 2020 Vision. This name reminds us to focus on future rather than past educational needs. The NET diligently applies all of its resources toward giving the greatest education to the greatest number of children.
